Volvo Penta Aquamatic Sterndrive V6-DPS is a fully integrated package, powered by the 6-cylinder, 4.3-liter, freshwater-cooled, direct-injected gasoline engine. Working together with the well-matched DPS Duoprop drive, this package provides responsive handling and strong acceleration.

The compact engine-drive design facilitates installation. With an aluminum cylinder block and head, low-friction, lightweight pistons, and a cast-aluminum oil pan, the engine provides an improved power-to-weight ratio.

The direct injection fuel system enables a high compression ratio, extracting more energy from each drop of fuel. This contributes to reduced fuel consumption and emission levels.

With variable valve timing, the movement of each intake and exhaust valve is adjusted for speed and load. This ensures consistent combustion across varying rpm, contributing to improved torque and acceleration throughout the rpm range.

The freshwater cooling system is designed to extend engine lifespan and improve performance. The closed-loop system prevents seawater exposure inside the engine, reducing corrosion and contributing to improved engine durability and resale value.

With the Easy Drain system, the engine is drained from raw water in just minutes. Thanks to the anti-siphon valve, this is possible with the boat still in the water.
